What this is
LoudounGo is a weekly guide to what’s happening in Loudoun County for families — pumpkin patches and trunk-or-treats in October, lights and winter break in December, camps in January, and every ordinary good weekend in between.
It’s for households with kids of all ages, not just little ones. If you’ve got a three-year-old and an eleven-year-old and need something that works for both, that’s who we write for.
How we choose
Every listing is checked against the venue’s own information before it runs. Times, costs and age ranges are confirmed, not copied off a calendar.
We say what we actually think — which of two events to do first, where the parking is easier, what only runs at weekends. That’s the part a listings page can’t give you.
If we get something wrong, tell us. We’ll fix it in that week’s issue.
What money can’t buy
Sponsors are always labelled as sponsors. No business can pay to be recommended in the weekend picks, or to be placed higher in a guide.
Event listings are free for everyone, always.
